Experience

With a diverse background in science, technology, design, and construction, John Shields has created a new model of practice in the Studio at Point B - emphasizing the act of design within a context of broader concern, understanding better design to be enabled by tools and technology. Point B is a studio in which the physical act of making and the digital design tools converge. Point B is a member of the Smart Geometry Group and the Delaware Green Building Council. John received a BS in Biology from the University of Albany and an MArch from University of Illinois.

Marco earned a Bachelors of Science in Architecture from the University of Virginia in 1999 and a Masters of Architecture from Massachusetts Institue of Technology in 2006. Marco looks to engage the challenge and spatial potential inherent in complex geometries through a systems-based approach to architectural design and fabrication. As a member of the Point B team since 2006 he acts as designer, project manager, and digital model manager.

Tom graduated from Philadelphia University in 2005 with a Bachelors of Architecture. With a diverse range of experience in both the digital and fabrication realms of art and architecture, Tom possess the skills necessary to carry out Point B’s unique design approach in all projects. As a designer, Tom is involved in the constant development of new visual concepts and experiential ideas that are apparent in all architectural, industrial, and digital projects at Point B.
